East Lake Community Library is seeking support for its expansion campaign, with a stated fundraising goal of $1.5 million to supplement existing funds. The library’s website offers links to donate and complete a survey about the project.
The library is at 4125 East Lake Road in Palm Harbor. In an October 5 report, Spectrum News described demand exceeding the available space: the director said the main meeting room holds 70 people and that some program attendees have had to be turned away.
Spectrum reported that project funding includes $4 million from Penny for Pinellas and more than $1 million raised through the library foundation’s capital campaign. The library’s campaign page provides a way for residents to follow and support the expansion effort.
